As many times as I've moved in my life, I'll never get over how strange the process can be! We will close on our new home next week, and yesterday, the current owners of that house phoned (through our realtor) to ask us to "walk thru the house with them"---so they could tell us everything we need to know. Now, my husband's first instincts said "no way!" but my curiosity took over as usual, so we wound up meeting them at the house with their listing agent there (supposedly to be the go-between). It was a bit weird at first, but couldn't have wound up being any better. He showed us the packet of appliance manuals and how the sprinkler system worked, as well as giving us a different curtain option and filling us in on the neighbors and new town. And then it got even weirder----my husband recognized him from a past career in the hospitality industry. He had actually been with him at some golf events, meetings and dinners---and they were friends with the same people!! Now the big thing is selling our house. Our's is older, so it will take some "sprucing up" to get it ready to show. And I'll have to find somewhere for the pets and me to go during those times. Any suggestions for one, 5&1/2 month old schnauzer and two adult Maine Coon cats?
